Our second annual Fermentation Festival was a tour de fermentation! Like always, it was a completely free festival headlined by one of the world's most renowned fermentation revivalists, Sandor Katz. On hand were dozens of speakers, demos, small fermenting businesses, and authors. See the full listing of all activities to the right.
We also had a competitive & tasty Iron-Chef-style pickle-off with some of Boston's most creative chefs and professional picklers, in addition to more advanced workshops for the experts and a kraut mob for those interested in learning the basics of fermentation.
Over 2000 people enjoyed the festival and there were all levels of fermenters present from enthusiasts & lactic acid aficionados. There was excellent media coverage from various local & national news sources.

a weekend event
The 2014 festival was a full weekend event that included a Friday night pre-party and musical jam, Saturday fermentation festival and after-party, and Sunday fermentation themed brunch with Sandor Katz at Oleana Restaurant.
