As a start to the 2016 Boston Fermentation Festival, we are planning a *free* community fermented food tasting as a memorial to Geoff Lukas.

The Boston food & fermentation community was shocked & deeply sad at the loss last year of our fellow fermenter, creative leader and deep thinker Geoff Lukas. Geoff was a willing collaborator with Boston Ferments on many projects. He spoke at and participated in all three Fermentation Festivals and organized a number of successful fermentation-themed meals - one with Sandor Katz - that demonstrated fermented foods from around the world. Geoff's work and friendships crossed many platforms and shared many interests.

To honor Geoff, we are planning a fermented food tasting when:    Saturday August 27th from 5-7:30pm

**please plan to arrive on time**

where:   the kitchen at the Boston Public Market

RSVP on facebook here

Geoff left us with hundreds of fermentation projects and this tasting will be a chance to open up his *many* crocks, jars & buckets, taste and remember Geoff, and take home some of the ferments themselves.

**please bring a dozen small jars of your own b/c everyone will be taking home ferments at the close of the event**

Geoff Lukas Memorial Grant
